Three Crows

Three crows had a talk,

About the nasty things happening,

And all they did was sit an’ mock,

Humans, for the things they were lacking.

The first crow said:

“God gave man the largest brain

For the welfare of the earth,

But all his efforts go in vain

Cause it all ends up in dirt.

“Man made little green paper sheets

Not larger than the hand,

And the prime work of those green sheets

Is to bring confusion in the land”

The second crow said: “I know of a box man made

That makes him happy or sad,

He looks at it with such expressions,

You’ll think that man is mad.

“There is another box I know man uses

With a board of buttons attached,

What’s in it him amuses,

It changes each time a button is tapped.”

Now it was the turn of the final crow

Who was all lost up in thought,

He couldn’t decide on which aspect

Should the human kind he mock.

He thought and thought until he

Came upon a point so true,

He said: “Surely like you and me

Man’s soul is black too”.

The truth embarrassed the birds,

They knew not what to say,

Each one was lost for words,

And each flew along his way.
